On todays first charter, we went to Redfish Pass to go shark fishing! We threw out our lines and with 30 minutes we had a bite! We hooked into a nice Sandbar Shark, after fighting him for about ten minutes, we got him close to the boat. Then I tied a rope to his tale so we could drag him into the boat so we could a have a better look!

He was about six feet long, and I would guess he weighed around 120 pounds! After that, as we always do, we released him back into the water no worse for wear!

After the rain died down, I took out my afternoon charter to fish Redfish Pass!

We were throwing lures in the sea weed beds. We caught Sea Trout, Ladyfish, and a few nice Pompano!

Within an hour of casting our lines we hooked a big one! After fighting him for about 15 minutes we had him close to the boat, but just as we were about to be able to see him he broke the line…

On todays first charter, I decided to fish the Buck Key grass flat using lures.

I expected to catch Sea Trout and Ladyfish as we usually do when fishing grass flats, but while we were catching Trout I spotted some Pompano!

I quickly switched one of our rods to a yellow lure, which pompano love, and sure enough we caught one right off the bat!
