Thursday, 3/21/13: Sanibel, Captiva & Fort Myers Fishing Report ~ Fort Myers, Sanibel & Captiva: Sandbar Shark caught in Redfish Pass!

On todays first charter, we went to Redfish Pass to go shark fishing! We threw out our lines and with 30 minutes we had a bite! We hooked into a nice Sandbar Shark, after fighting him for about ten minutes, we got him close to the boat. Then I tied a rope to his tale so we could drag him into the boat so we could a have a better look!

He was about six feet long, and I would guess he weighed around 120 pounds! After that, as we always do, we released him back into the water no worse for wear!
