5-15-14, on today’s Captiva fishing charter, Betsy, a great white shark, was off the coast of Sanibel in late April!

Pretty darn exciting!

The female great white shark was tagged in 2013 by Ocearch, a nonprofit research organization focused on great white sharks and other apex predators.

Betsy, 12 feet long and 1,400 lbs., surfaced off Sanibel & Boca Grande about 60 miles offshore last month on April 25.
