Friday, April 6, 2012 ~ tarpon jumped 10′ from the boat @ Blind Pass last night

Hank & Charlie, after a long but good day of fishing, Sanibel & Captiva Fishing Charters.

Here’s a photo of my first and second mate.

They were a little tuckered out last night after three charters and 12+ hours of fishing.

There is also some occasional tension between them about the pecking order, exactly who is first mate and who is second mate, etc.  🙂

We had a good day of fishing yesterday.

We didn’t catch a tarpon but we sure got close to them.  On the last charter of the day, around 6:30 PM, a tarpon jumped right next to us at Blind Pass.

We caught and released five black tip sharks using live ladyfish for bait, but we couldn’t get the tarpon to hit the bait.

Maybe we’ll get ’em today!

Let’s go Sanibel & Captiva fishing – or shelling!  It is also almost Boca Grande Pass tarpon fishing time!

Fair winds and following seas,

Captain Joey Burnsed ~ call 239-472-8658 or email captjoefred@gmail to book a Sanibel & Captiva or Boca Grande fishing or shelling charter.
