Saturday, 7/30/11 … lot’s of snook and a huge goliath grouper

Saturday was a great day of fishing!

The snook are in full spawn here on Captiva.  Many young males and a few large females are being caught each charter.

In the morning, first cast, we caught a nice snook about 11 lbs.

After each person caught a few snook, we headed to the bayside of Sanibel where we caught trout, mackeral, ladyfish and cobia.

In the afternoon, we caught twenty snook right off the bat.

Then we went offshore & caught three goliath groupers, one being a massive 300 lbs. What a fight.

We went to Redfish Pass where we caught a 15 inch snapper, so hopefully their also moving in.
