Captiva Fishing Red Tide Report, 8-9-14:  No Red Tide

The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission report came out yesterday, Friday.

Good news:  there are no red tide conditions reported near Sanibel & Captiva Islands at this time.

There is some red tide reported off Manatee & Sarasota Counties.

Thursday, 8/9/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Gag grouper.

Today Captain Joey took out a fishing charter.

Captain Joey first took his charter to North Captiva to go shelling! Then he took them out to lunch at Cabbage Key!

After lunch, Captain Joey’s charter decided to fish for a bit in Blind Pass. There they caught some nice grouper and snapper!

Captain Joey and his charter then head inshore of Captiva Island to fish a shark hole. There they caught one nice 50 pound blacktip shark! And of course after this photo was taken the shark was safe

Thursday, 8/7/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Blacktip sharks.

Today Captain Joey took out a fishing charter.

First they went to Redfish Pass. There they caught a bunch of mangrove snapper, ladyfish, and mackerel. Then after catching some little guys they decide to go for a big one!
