Friday, 3/14/14, Captiva Fishing Report: Hard winds mucked up the water, Sanibel, Captiva & North Captiva, #Captiva

On today’s Captiva fishing charter’s, Captains Joey and Josh took out charters.

Fishing was very tough today due to a strong wind which mucked up the water.

Both Captain Joey and Josh headed to a special grass flat that they use on days like today. There they caught a good amount of sea trout and ladyfish.

On today’s Captiva fishing charter’s, Captains Joey and Josh took out charters.

Captain Joey first took his charter the Redfish Pass grass flats. There they caught a bunch of sea trout, including one on the first cast of the day!

After that they headed to the Sanibel oyster bar. There that caught some nice redfish.

Captain Josh first took his charter to the Sanibel oyster bar. There Captain Josh’s charter caught some nice big sea trout, and a little blacktip shark. After that they moved on to the Sanibel bull shark cut to, you guessed it, fish for bull sharks.

It wasn’t long before they hooked a nice kid friendly three footer. Captan Josh managed to land the shark near a sandbar, so the charter decided to take a picture on land with their catch. And as always after this photo was taken we carried this little guy back into the water no worse for wear.

On today’s Captiva fishing charters, Captains Joey and Josh took out charters.

At the beginning of the day both Captains took their charters to Redfish Pass. There both charters caught sea trout, ladyfish, and spanish mackerel, after that our captains headed off in doff rent directions.

Captain Joey left Redfish Pass and went offshore of North Captiva, there his charter caught some nice snapper, and a nice grouper.

After that Captain Joey’s charter headed back inshore to spend the rest of their charter fishing the Sanibel oyster bar. There they got into some excellent redfish and snook fishing.

Unlike Captain Joey, Captain Josh left Redfish Pass and went strait to the Sanibel oyster bar. There they spent most of there charter catching redfish and snook.

It was a fantastic day of fishing!

On today’s Captiva fishing charters, Captains Joey and Josh took out charters.

Captain Josh charter spent the day fishing the grass flats near Redfish Pass. There they got onto some excellent pompano fishing! They were also catching spanish mackerel, tons of sea trout, and ladyfish.

Captain Joey’s charter started their day off by joining up with Captain Josh’s charter to fish the grass flats around Redfish Pass. They did that for a bit and caught lots of good sea trout, a couple even over 20 inches, but then decided to move on to try for something new.

Captain Joey’s charter then moved to fish the rock piles offshore of Sanibel Island. There they caught a ton of snapper a long with a few nice grouper and a beautiful trigger fish!

Ladyfish caught in Redfish Pass, Sanibel & Captiva Islands & Fort Myers Charters & Fishing Guide Service.

On today’s Captiva fishing charters, Captains Joey and Josh took out charters.

They both had the same game plan, to go to the grass bars around Redfish Pass, and to fish for ladyfish and sea tout with lures, and that is exactly what they did.

Although the extreme fishermen do not consider a ladyfish a great catch, the kids love catching one after another making them one of our favorite fish to catch!
