Captiva Fishing Red Tide Report, 8-23-14: No Red Tide

The Friday Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission red tide report came out yesterday.

We’re still in good shape in terms of red tide: there are no red tide conditions reported near Sanibel & Captiva Islands at this time.

There is some red tide reported off Manatee & Sarasota Counties.

Friday, 8/22/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Gag grouper offshore of Captiva Island!

Today Captain Joey took out a charter.

First Captain Joey took his charter to fish the mangroves inshore of Captiva Island. There they caught a few nice redfish.

After that they headed to Redfish Pass where they caught grouper, sea trout, spanish mackerel, and ladyfish!
