Captiva Fishing Red Tide Report, 8-30-14: No Red Tide

This week’s Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission red tide report came out on Friday. Good news.  Still no red tide conditions reported near Sanibel & Captiva Islands at this time. Wednesday, 8/27/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Redfish.

Today Captain Joey took out a charter.

The weather again was not ideal for fishing. So Captain Joey took his charter to fish for redfish!

After that they headed to the Captiva oyster bar where they lost a big redfish.

Everyday fishing trip can’t be perfect, but our captains will do their best to get you some fish!

Tuesday, 8/26/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Hard fishing.

Today Captain Joey took out a charter.

The weather was less than ideal for fishing today, the wind was blowing hard. Captain Joey took his charter first to Redfish Pass. There they did manage to catch some sea trout and ladyfish.

After that they headed to the Captiva oyster bar where they lost a big redfish.
