Monday, 7/21/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Goliath Grouper!

 

Today Captains Joey and Josh took out fishing charters.

Captain Josh took his charter to the flats inshore of Captiva. There they caught a bunch of sea trout, a few of which were above 20 inches.

Captain Joey took his charter offshore of Captiva. There they caught a few big 100-150 pound goliath grouper. After that they fished inshore of Captiva for gag grouper and snook.

Thursday, 7/17/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Surprise tarpon!

 

Today, Captains Joey and Josh took out charters.

Both Captains Josh and Joey started off the day by going sea trout and snapper fishing inshore of Captiva Island.

Then Captain Joey charter decided to fish for some bigger game, so Captain Joey took them to a secret spot where he knew he suspected they could catch some of the last tarpon of the year, and he was right!

They got two fish to the boat, a 120 pound tarpon, and a 150 pound tarpon.

Tuesday, 7/15/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Fly fished for snook off North Captiva Beach.

 

Today, Captains Joey and Josh decided to take the day off to fly fish for the snook that Captain Josh caught off North Captiva beach caught during his yesterday charter.

There, Captains Joey and Josh were able to fly fish for the schools of snook that are hanging around the South end of North Captiva. They had a blast catching one snook after the next on their fly rods!

Monday, 7/14/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Spanish Mackerel, Redfish Pass!

 

Today Captains Joey and Josh took out fishing charters.

Captain Joey took his charter to Redfish Pass. There they caught a a bunch of spanish mackerel, sea trout, and ladyfish as well as a few decent sized blacktip sharks! Captain Joey managed to catch this amazing slow motion footage of a spanish mackerel being lifted into the boat, enjoy!

Captain Josh took his charter to the beach of North Captiva. There they were catching and releasing tons of snook.
